The designer duo Hemant and Nandita pledged their collection to PETA’s global fight against the use of leather and animal skins. Magic was created as creativity met activism on the ramp. The cruelty free collection was in consonance with global trend towards ethical consumerism.

The range showcased effervescent resort wear in animal inspired digital prints, faux leather and raxine demonstrating that one can be cool without being cruel. The show opened with a model wearing a two piece animal printed bikini with a slogan saying “I ‘d rather go naked than wear animal skin”. The collection was trendy with innovative fashion ideas through fabric and prints in velvet, synthetic fibres, and imitation leather in stylishly versatile silhouettes. A special feature was showed through a ‘Fake It’ collection of imitation leather bags with catchy slogans.

Styles were mainly off shoulder dresses, kaftans, shorts and short skirts, flowy tops all with gathering, flounce, and bobbin elastic, layering making it feminine and young at the same time. Solid and prints were experimented with sheer fabrics like georgettes and chiffons crushed to hug the bodices and gathered to give it drape and layers. There was gold used in ornamental embroideries with stones and rope like gold chains adding to the charisma and appeal.
