Dozakh’s WIFW A/W 2010 collection was inspired by ‘La Belle Dame Sans Merci”, a ballad written by John Keats that describes the encounter between a knight and a mysterious beauty who abandons him after he falls irrevocably in love with her.

The collection started very dramatically with a belle dance performance and traced the story of unrequited love though a range of women’s wear garments incorporating a dark fairytale like feel.

The silhouettes comprised of fairy tale like dress in shades of soft wine, classic draped knot dress with a yoke of intricate hand embroidered French knots, front open dresses in beautiful shades of grey and dull gold, fitted bustier exquisitely hand embroidered with French knot with Swarovski, cobalt blue dress with embroidered appliqué, six tiered black and white dress with intricate cutwork, red flared dress with twenty two panels and sheath dress with a hand tacked folded net yoke, digitally printed with an epitaph encircled by navy and cobalt roses.

Overall the mood was somber yet magnificent and the silhouettes were wistful with a heady mix of intricate appliqué and hand embroidery with her signature French knots all in her characteristic ombre shades.
